How Recording Works
Press the record button in Studio and MoyStream captures everything on your Main canvas: video, audio, overlays, and all. When you stop, the recording is downloaded to your device automatically. Behind the scenes, AI generates a thumbnail and an audio waveform so your content is ready to edit right away.
AI-Powered Thumbnails & Waveforms
As soon as you stop recording, AI picks the best frame for a thumbnail preview and generates a visual audio waveform, all in your browser with no server processing needed. These are ready instantly, so when you open the editor you can start working immediately.
Cloud or Local, Your Choice
If you have Cloud Storage enabled, your recordings are automatically saved to Google Drive alongside their thumbnail and waveform. Prefer to keep things local? MoyStream stores them in your browser so you can access them later without uploading anything.
AI Transcription
When you open a recording in the editor, MoyStream uses AI to transcribe every word with precise timing. The transcript becomes your editing tool. Instead of scrubbing through a timeline, you read your content and select exactly what to keep or remove. Words with low confidence are highlighted so you can review them.
Edit by Selecting Words
Click or drag to select words in the transcript, then press Delete to remove them. The video automatically skips deleted sections during playback, so you see and hear only what you keep. Drag the edges of deleted segments to fine-tune exactly where cuts happen, and every adjustment snaps to word boundaries for precision.
Visual Timeline
The editor timeline has three layers: a filmstrip showing 20 frames from your video, an audio waveform for visual reference, and a time ruler. Deleted segments appear as red overlays so you can see at a glance what's been removed. Click anywhere on the timeline to jump to that moment.
Undo, Redo & Auto-Save
Every edit is tracked with full undo and redo support. Use Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z to step through your edit history. Changes are auto-saved every 2 seconds, and you can also save a copy to keep your original intact.
Formats & Compatibility
Recordings are saved in WebM format with VP9 video and Opus audio for the best balance of quality and file size. The recorder automatically picks the best codec supported by your browser, so it works seamlessly on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other modern browsers.
